One bright, shining rainbow

Maya Angelou, a prominent author, poet, a true survivor and an amazingly inspiring lady died May 28th, 2014 at the age of 86. A rainbow for the world, here are just a few of her many wonderful quotes.

Maya Angelou (1928-2014) was an African-American author who wrote 7 autobiographies and several books of poetry among other works. Her most famous autobiography was the inspirational ‘I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.’

Angelou grew up during the depression, struggled against racial discrimination, poverty and abuse and was prominent in the civil rights movement.
