It is rumoured that Ernest Hemingway wrote the shortest, short story ever written using only six words. Apparently, there are now books and websites dedicated
to ‘Six-word Memoirs’.
And so in honour of the ‘six word memoirs’….here are six great words to live by…
“Love like there is no tomorrow”…..
and here are the six most beautiful words in the English language…
“I’m sorry”…….”Thanks” and “I love you.”
Ernest Hemingway (1899 – 1961) was an American author and journalist known for his understated writing style and lean use of words. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. Some of his most famous works include: ‘The Sun Also Rises’, ‘A Farewell to Arms’, ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’, ‘The Old Man and the Sea’ and ‘A Moveable Feast’ among others. (Wikipedia photo)
And the six word short story Hemingway is rumoured to have written but which has not been established with any certainty:
