Spring…..at last


Although the grass is not yet green, there are little green buds on the lilac trees, the petunias are thriving in their baskets, the snow is gone and the red, red robins are strutting on the lawn…..at last…..

Anne Bradstreet (1612-1672) was born in Northampton, England and emigrated to America in 1630. According to Wikipedia she was the first poet and first female writer to be published in the British North American colonies.
